Notes – This was the final timetable operating on the southern half of the Waverley Route. The line closed on Monday 6th January 1969. The last train of all was the 2155 departure on Sunday 5th January from Edinburgh Waverley to London St Pancras which made an unscheduled stop at Newcastleton in the early hours of 6th January.

MF - Monday to Friday.
Sat – Saturdays only.
Sun – Sundays only.
Tue-Sat – Tuesday to Saturday morning.
N – previous evening.
P – calls at Parkhouse Halt.
SC – Sleeping Car London - Edinburgh.
W – calls at Whitrope.
